Hello,
I am from the beautiful Indian state of Kashmir, also known as "Paradise on Earth".
Srinagar is the capital of Kashmir and the city where I was born over 3 decades ago.
On 4th September of this year, I went to visit the near by touristic city of Gulmarg. During spring Gulmarg lives up to its name, that means Meadow of Flowers and it is only 52 Km southwest of Srinagar. You can go to Gulmarg, visit it and come back to Srinagar all in one day!
During winter Gulmarg is India's major ski resort and receives many European tourists that have discovered that is much nicer and cheaper to ski in Gulmarg in the Himalaya range, than in the Swiss Alps.
The cable car that takes you up the mountain at 4114 meters of altitude is named as GONDOLA.
From the top of the mountain the view is breathtaking!! It is always chill at the top, so I recommend you to drink a delicious Kawa tea at one of the stalls.
